I worked with Coach Les using the Black Phoenix Athletics Lifestyle Change Program for one year. I live in Florida and Coach Les would send me workouts via email at the start of each week. For any exercises that were unclear, videos were provided. I followed the program strictly. I hit the gym at least five days a week. At the end of the year, I had lost fourteen pounds and gained muscle and endurance. The workouts were challenging and perfectly fit for my level at each phase of the journey. Other members of the gym would often approach me and comment on how watching me work out inspired them. I can't take full credit for that as I was just following the program given to me by Coach Les. After completing a year with Black Phoenix Athletics, I took up the sport of tennis and have found that the fitness level I acquired during my year on the program has helped me improve dramatically in my tennis game over a short period of time. I would definitely recommend this to a college student. The program itself is very helpful in setting up workouts because I imagine there are many people out here who want to work out but don't have an idea where to start and how to go about their workout. What I really like about this program is not only does it focus on workouts, but also on what one is eating and how much they are consuming. So there is definitely a show of care in the program, I can feel that wanting to succeed by Coach Les. Even with just the water drinking, within the first week I could feel the change in my body as it was getting rid of all the junk. I definitely have lost weight and feel great about it, I feel more confident about my body and life in general.

Being a college student is commitment that doesn’t leave a lot of time for self care. A year and a half in, I found myself at the most unhealthy point in my life, unsure of how I could pull myself out of the mental and physical slump. That was when a friend suggested I join Black Phoenix Athletics. I’ll admit, I was skeptical. I wasn’t sure a workout program would fit in my life or if I would even be able to keep up with it- but that’s what separates Black Phoenix Athletics from its competitors. It’s not a workout program. BPA is a healthy lifestyle program that encourages its members to make it apart of their life rather than treat it as a chore. The constant attention and correspondence from owner and certified coach, Leslie Grey, motivates me to participate in the program and reassures me that I’m not alone in the experience. Not only that, but he makes it so that the program is adaptable based on who is doing it. He suggests a routine that is reasonable for the commitments you already have and customizes its contents based on your personal physique. I have now been a member for 14 weeks- just over 3 months- and I can safely say that BPA is not just the workouts I do, it’s the guide for how I stay healthy and active. I would confidently recommend it to anyone.
